The Chad Scholars Program (CSP) provides scholarships to college-bound high school seniors in the Greater Newark Metropolitan Area. CSP consists of two components:
1.) Financial Assistance. Students will be eligible to receive a four-year $10,000 award, payable in four annual installments of $2,500. Scholarship funds can be used for such educational purposes as tuition assistance, text books, and room and board.
2.) Mentorship. Each Chad Scholar will be assigned a mentor selected from a pool of professionals, including alumni from the Chad School and Chad Science Academy. Chad Scholars will have an opportunity to enjoy the support of frequent contact with their mentors throughout the year.
Since the Scholars Program inception in 2010, the Foundation has awarded over $400,000 in scholarships to local college-bound seniors. Chad’s financial assistance has made it possible for outstanding Newark-area students to attend such colleges and universities as Boston College, Howard University, University of Virginia, the Rutgers College of Engineering, and Syracuse University. The Foundation also provides Scholars with mentors and assistance in finding summer internships aligned with their career aspirations.
